Research in the Barton Research Group (BRG) combines the development of novel sensing, planning, and control strategies with simulation and experimental implementation. Equal part theory and application, the focus of the research is on innovative strategies for improving the performance of a wide range of systems, including complex multi-robot systems, human-robot interaction, smart manufacturing systems, high-precision 3D printing, energy systems, and biological systems.
